Community technical support mailing list was retired 2010 and replaced with a professional technical support team. For assistance please contact: Pre-sales Technical support via email to sales@march-hare.com.

Just to confirm:
If the old CVSNT is older than about 2.0.1 or so then uninstall-install.
After this all updates are done by simply executing the installer for the
full version and it will update if it finds an older version already

The repository data are not touched by this process so they remain intact.
The location of the repository is stored in the Registry and the new
server will find it by itself, normally no need to "point to it".

There are a number of new features added that may need to be taken care of
via the Control panel applet or via modification of the CVSROOT/config
file, for example usage of the lockserver etc.

But it should start running out of the box.

Thanks a lot! One more question if you please: I assume the upgrade
means to uninstall the old and then fresh install the new. Any special
steps to be taken to keep the original repository contents intact? Or is
it simply a matter of telling the new cvsnt where the old repository is
after installing?
