Let me try commenting it out and see what happens. Initially, I'd like to try
to stick to 58c to reduce the number of variables that I'm trying to isolate.
However, if I can easily reproduce the problem with my own build, I'll likely
try again with the current source from the repository.

One more question. Which SSL implementation are you using? I'd prefer not to
fight through any issues that might come up when building with a different
implementation.
