A scheduled task running as yourself and just Xcopying the contents of
the sandbox over to a network drive which is backed up by ythe IT guys
will do the trick.
Create a batch file with the necessary commands and then let the XP
scheduler handle it for you.
Then you can have both:
- Sandbox on local drive
- Sandbox backed up by IT department

But if you commit your edits every night you won't need this at all,
the backup on the server will handle it.
